Biography

Mónica Serna is a Mexican actress of theater, TV, film and dubbing with more than fifty years of artistic career. She worked in the companies CINSA and SISSA in the sixties and seventies and in Telespeciales in the eighties. In addition to being an actress, she was also a dancer. She was part of the National Theater Company working with José Solé. Mónica made her debut in Mexican cinema in 1953 with an extra role in the film "Nunca es tarde para amar" (It's never too late to love).

In 2008 she received the Bellas Artes Medal for her 50 years of constant artistic life and for her invaluable contribution to Mexican and universal theater. She is currently retired from showbusiness.
