Biography

Born Evangeline Rose Gil Eigenmann on 21 June 1963, Cherie Gil was a Filipino actress and the daughter of Filipino singer-actors Eddie Mesa and Rosemarie Gil, and sister of fellow actors Michael de Mesa and Mark Gil. She began her career as a child actress at the age of 9 and received numerous accolades throughout her career. She was best known for her role as Lavinia Arguelles in the 1985 film Bituing Walang Ningning.
