Biography

Jaime Rodrigues Costa, better known as Jaime Costa (Rio de Janeiro, December 27, 1897 - Rio de Janeiro, January 30, 1967), was a Brazilian actor, one of the most important in the history of national theater. He released almost 200 original works by Brazilian authors and introduced Luigi Pirandello, Eugene O'Neill and Arthur Miller to the national stage. His most notable work was in Death of a Salesman, by Arthur Miller, staged in 1951, where he played Willy Loman, the protagonist. He also acted in film and television.
