Biography

Herman Dulong, known by the names Bambang Hermanto or Herman Citrokusumo (born on August 11, 1931, in Surakarta – December 18, 1991), was an Indonesian actor.

Bambang attended HIS (Hollandsch-Inlandsche School) and the Acting Course at ATNI (1955-1956). Before entering the film industry, he served in the military. He was a member of the Heiho, the Indonesian Republic Rebels, and the Military Police.

Bambang Hermanto was a prolific Indonesian actor in the 50s. He became well known after acting in Harimau Tjampa (1953). Bambang was dubbed the 'Indonesian John Derek', given the similarity of his face. He won the Best Supporting Actor award in FFI 1955 for his role in Lewat Djam Malam (1954).
