Biography

Nitsa Tsaganea (February 17, 1902 – April 30, 2002) was a Greek theater and film actress and a fighter of the National Resistance.

She was born in Athens as Eleni Laskari. Her first husband was the actor Giorgis Vitsoris and her second husband was also the actor Christos Tsaganea. Her best known films are A Hero in Slippers and The Germans Are Back.

She ended up poor and her rent was paid by Dimitris Horn. She was buried in the 1st Cemetery, next to her beloved daughter, also the actress Liana Vitsori.
