Biography

Kim Seok-jin (김석진; born December 4, 1992), known professionally as Jin (진), is a South Korean singer, songwriter and actor. He is a member of the boy group BTS, under BigHit Music.

Jin has released three self-composed digital singles, "Tonight" in 2019, "Abyss" in 2020 and "Super Tuna" in 2021. He made his official debut as a solo artist in 2022, with the release of the single "The Astronaut".

In October 2024, Jin released an extended version of his 2021 single “Super Tuna”, along with a new music video. The following month, he released his debut mini album, Happy, which peaked at number 2 on Billboard World Albums chart and number 4 on Billboard 200. In 2025, Jin released his second album, Echo, which charted at number 3 on Billboard 200. That same year, he embarked on his first solo concert tour, the RunSeokjin Ep. Tour.

In 2018, he was awarded the fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea, along with the other members of BTS, for his contributions to Korean culture.
