Biography

Rafiq Al-Subaiei (Arabic: رفيق السبيعي; ​​February 9, 1930 – January 5, 2017) was a Syrian actor, writer, and director.

Rafiq Al-Subaiei was born in one of the oldest neighborhoods of Damascus and contributed to Syrian theater as an actor. He is particularly known for his role alongside Egyptian actor Salah Zulfikar in "Souvenir d'une nuit d'amour" (1973). Subaiei is also known as "Abu Sayyah," a character he portrayed in theater and television.
