Ganesh Gangai AmarenĀ better known asĀ Premgi Amaren, is an IndianĀ playback singer,Ā film composer, songwriter andĀ actor. Son of veteran film composer and singerĀ Gangai Amaran, he often composesĀ rap songsĀ inĀ Tamil cinemaĀ and is known for his comical performances in theĀ Venkat PrabhuĀ filmsĀ Chennai 600028,Ā Saroja,Ā GoaĀ andĀ Mankatha.Ā His stage name, Premgi, is actually a spelling error, as it is meant to be "Prem G.", (the G referring to his father's name).
