Dr. Mark Nicholas Perlmutter is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and hand surgery specialist whose work has taken him from operating rooms in rural North Carolina to some of the world's most underserved and conflict-affected regions.

A longtime advocate for global surgery and equitable access to medical care, Dr. Perlmutter has participated in numerous medical missions around the world, providing surgical treatment in communities with limited healthcare resources.
