Jose Canales Romero

Jose Canales Romero is a screenwriter, director, and actor. He began directing during his sophomore year with the creation of "Death's Gambit." It was a suspenseful thriller that was well received, winning 1st place in Long Form Films at the FOCO Film Festival 2024 and 2nd Place Audience Choice at the GSU Fright Fest 2025.

Jose continued to hone his craft with his junior year project, "Call In." A smaller-scale, slasher horror, slightly analog horror production.

Currently, Jose is writing his 3rd film in his Freshman year of college at Georgia State University.
