Biography

Margit Carlqvist is a Swedish stage and screen actress. She was admitted to the Royal Dramatic Theatre's acting school in 1949 at the age of 17. She made her film debut in Ingmar Bergman's "Till glÀdje/To Joy" (1950). She starred in many movies during the 1950s, mostly as some kind of vamp. Internationally she is perhaps most known for her role in Ingmar Bergman's "Smiles of a Summer Night" (1955).
